The Met Gala is supposed to be one of the premiere events where celebrities, designers and socialites wear their most fashion-forward formal garb. But, not everyone makes the headlines for choosing the right outfit. Frequent fashion victim Kim Kardashian showed up wearing a floral one-piece mumu, featuring a high slit and what looked like attached gloves.
(For the record, Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, who gave Kardashian the frock, said he was inspired to use the upholstery-like pattern because when someone is celebrating something like a birth, you give them flowers.
“She is a really good friend, and I am very happy she came to the Met for the first time,” he said to Women’s Wear Daily. “I think she looked amazing. She was the most beautiful pregnant woman I dressed in my career.)
