Video: ‘The Daily Show’ says goodbye to Sam Bee

Samantha Bee, one of the longest serving correspondents on “The Daily Show,” has officially departed, and the show and host Jon Stewartplayed tribute to her last night with a montage of her greatest hits, including the time she went to the Republican National Convention in 2008 and got a whole bunch of people to say they were glad Bristol Palin had had the option to keep her baby. So basically, they were pro-choice. We’ll miss Bee (and some of us wouldn’t have minded if she’d taken over), but she’s not going too far: She’ll soon be hosting her own show on TBS, and she and husband Jason Jones are executive producing a sitcom based on their life that he’ll star in. Watch the whole montage below, and try not to get all choked up when a teary Bee comes out, but is too emotional to say anything.
