Seth Meyers’ new gig as a late night host doesn’t begin until late next month, but NBC just released their first promo for “Late Night With Seth Meyers” — and it features a few familiar faces, including barely-settled “Weekend Update” co-anchor Cecily Strong and Keenan Thompson, who’s vying for Meyers’ old dressing room.
The gist of the promo, which features Meyers walking through NBC’s headquarters en route from his old station on the set of “SNL” down the hall to his new digs, is that his show isn’t exactly ready. Meyers arrives at his new set to find that… it’s not a set yet. It’s a winking nod to the fact that this is a whole new ballgame for Meyers, a longtime “SNL” mainstay. Is he ready? Guess we’ll find out when his new show debuts on February 25.
