Wednesday gossip roundup: Jessica Simpson poses nude on cover of ELLE

Jessica Simpson is the latest to redo Demi Moore’s famous 1991 nude pregnancy photo, posing on the cover of Elle barely covering herself with her hands. She’s just as revealing in the interview as well, confirming that she and fiancé Eric Johnson are expecting a baby girl. Still, given Johnson’s athleticism, Simpson is worried her daughter won’t be girlie enough. “I swear, I will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins,” she tells the magazine. “We’re gonna have this athletic girl and I won’t even be able to take her shopping, because all she’s going to want is sports bras and Nikes.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt has something in common with her fans when it comes to appreciating certain parts of her anatomy. “It’s horrible to say, but I like my boobs,” the former “Ghost Whisperer” star tells Maxim magazine when asked what body part she is most proud of. “They’ve always served me well. They’re good.” Well, maybe they haven’t served her that well recently, the currently single Hewitt admits: “It might sound so stupid, but guys do not hit on me,” she says. “I’m not really sure why.”

“Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has taken to the cover of Us Weekly to announce what everyone already knew: that she’s pregnant and engaged. “I have different priorities now,” Polizzi says. “I don’t care what anybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and [fiancé Jionni LaValle] is ready.” The reality star admits that discovery of her pregnancy — right after New Year’s — caused a moment of panic. Her first thought? “‘S—, I’ve been drinking,’” she says. “I was worried. It was New Year’s Eve and we were in Vegas, so I did go crazy.”

Christina Ricci reveals that her teenage struggle with anorexia — and the unplanned revelation of it at the time — helped make her the person she is today. “Somebody actually found out about it and outed [me] while I was recovering,” she tells Marie Clare magazine. “It was a horrifying thing to do to a 14-year-old trying to cope with a devastating illness. And, out of rage, I vowed that no one would ever be able to out me for a secret again. So I was going to be completely honest in the rest of my life. I don’t want to be hurt in that way again.” As for the eating disorder itself, Ricci says the pressures of being an actress at that age had a lot to do with it. “I think it’s just really awkward to go through puberty, and go through growing up and becoming a woman, when everybody is always kind of looking at you,” she says.

Will Ferrell’s role in his new film, “Casa de mi Padre,” turned out to be quite revealing. “Someone had the either wonderful or horrible task of putting makeup on my ass,” he tells Rolling Stone magazine. But baring all isn’t something that bothers the “Saturday Night Live” alum. “This kind of thing is not a big deal to me,” he explains. “In college, they had this thing where you’d run naked on fraternity row, and if anyone challenged me, I’d be happy to do it.” Another college experience he was happy to do? Losing his virginity at age 21. “In my mind’s eye, it seemed like the way it was supposed to happen,” he says, admitting that his mom had assumed he’d lost it much earlier.

Tila Tequila’s hospitalization last week for an aneurism and overdose reportedly came after a harrowing week of suicide attempts, according TMZ. Tequila’s roommate reportedly called 911 after the reality TV star, who is said to have ingested a large amount of pills to deal with the aneurism, tried to jump out of the window of their apartment. When paramedics and police arrived, the roommate reportedly told the cops that Tequila had “tried to kill herself all week.” Tequila is resting at home now.
