Where to party for the Fourth

Welcome America!

By now, you’ve probably heard that the Goo Goo Dolls are playing the Welcome America! festival before the fireworks go up Sunday night. And while we’re in awe of frontman John Rzeznik’s hair (highlights! flat irons! oh my!), an opening set by the Roots with guest Chrisette Michele is plenty enough reason to get to the Parkway. Did we mention this is all free? Because it is. Sunday, 8 p.m., Ben Franklin Parkway, www.welcome america.com

Making Time Fourth of July Freakout

Continuing what is already a rad “Summer of Radness,” Making Time hosts guests Sleigh Bells and Glass Candy. Sunday, 4 p.m.-2 a.m., Bamboo Bar, 927 N. Delaware Ave., $10-$12, www.igetrvng.com

Happy Birthday America at the Tritone

Celebrate with the Homophones, Eddie Austin, Julia Factorial and the Legendary Wid. Saturday, 8 p.m., Tritone, 1508 South St., $5, www.tritonebar.com
