Crash pilot's suicidal tendencies were revealed

It turns out that the Germanwings death-wish pilot, who pulverized 149 others as he crashed into a mountain, had actually had suicidal tendencies in the past. Airlines are now reassessing their assessments.

A driver in drag was shot

A pair who rammed an SUV into the gates of the National Security Agency were both shot, and one died. The car was stolen, the men were wearing women's clothing and police suspect drugs were involved.

DoJ sued an Oklahoma university 

The Department of Justice has stepped in to defend a transgender assistant professor who was passed over for promotion. Not only did Southeastern Oklahoma State University not give Rachel Tudor a promotion, they fired her instead. The DoJ isn't having any of that sort of discrimination in our country and has sued the university.

Justin Bieber survived a roasting

Entertainers including Ludacris, Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg used every sort of offensive joke to give the pop star a ribbing. The tattooed heartthrob managed to hold his own, calling his detractors a "bunch of has-beens."

Hyundai joins the autonomous car market

The South Korean carmaker says it's joining Mercedes and Google in the race to get self-driving cars on the road, and plans to do it by 2020. That's just five years for us to delegate responsibility for road safety to our wheels; it remains to be seen whether carmakers can really navigate the legal minefield that fast.
