When the Grammy nominations were announced earlier today, fans of Taylor Swift and The Weekend were certainly thrilled, but a tone of discord quickly spread across social media as fans of Adele began protesting the seeming snubbing of the “Hello” singer, with not a single nomination for the hit single or her new album, “25.”

But really, Twitterverse, calm down. Adele’s latest record-breaking work isn’t eligible until next year’s Grammys, as this year’s honor workreleasedbetween Oct. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2015.
