It's just good practice in any industry, from music to accounting: Even if you're having problems with your boss, don't give an interview dissing him to Billboard magazine.
Unfortunately, rapper Future didn't get that memo. The musician was booked to tour 39 cities with Drake beginning this week, but they've parted ways after a slip of the tongue. Future was speaking to Billboard about his own latest album when he happened to mention that he doesn't think much of headliner Drake's latest. "Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do," he told Billboard reporter Erika Ramirez, who later tweeted it.
Future's management claimed the tweet was off the record, and Billboard edited their story — but not soon enough to escape Drake's notice. According to Page Six, the infuriated star demanded that Future be fired from the tour. Future's history, but he's reportedly planning to file suit against the tour for up to $1.5 million of lost wages.
Word of the beef between Drake and Future comes on the heels of rumors that Drake recently patched up his differences with Chris Brown. So at least his Enemies List and Not-Currently-Enemies List should remain roughly the same length they were before.
