It was one of the more controversial casting choices in recent years, but now it’s Twitter official: “Batman vs. Superman” director Zack Snyder has posted the first picture of Ben Affleck wearing the signature bat suit. He’s posing pensively next to his Batmobile as some smoke drifts by (that is the only way Batman knows how to take a selfie). See below for your first glimpse.

It’s too dark to see much detail on the batsuit, but it does seem to feature some extra bicep definition, in case Affleck didn’t get a chance to pump up before filming. The new film is set to hit theaters in May of 2016, so you’ll have to wait until then to find out why Batman and Superman are so mad at each other.
