14 of our favorite low-key celebrity couples

Some celebrity couples like to bask in the attentions of the media, and their fans, and a variety of gossip sites. Other celebrity couples like to play it cool in a bid to have some type of normalcy as if they were, I don’t know, regular people. It’s kind of cute.

In tribute to those celebs just trying to get by like the rest of us, here are 14 couples striving to be super chill and under the radar. Congrats on staying strong in the face of adversity — and by adversity, I clearly mean Kim & Kanye.

Kerry Washington & Nnamdi Asomugha

Kerry Washington married her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha in 2013 — and since then, they have rarely been seen in public together. They have two children.

Eric Andre & Rosario Dawson

Not many people knew that comedian Eric Andre and forever bae Rosario Dawson were a couple. But over Valentine’s Day 2017, Andre made sure that every single one of us knew. It’s chill. Look how cute they are!

Eva Mendes & Ryan Gosling

These two are basically peak mysterious A-list couple. They are rarely, if ever seen together — Mendes even skipped the Oscars even though Gosling was nominated. The pair share two daughters: Esmeralda, aged 2, and Amada, 1.

Rose Byrne & Bobby Canavale

These two warm my shriveled little heart. Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale first started dating in 2012 and now share a very adorable one-year-old named Rocco.

Alison Brie & Dave Franco

Dave Franco — younger brother of James — married Alison Brie — star of “GLOW” — in a hush hush ceremony in March 2017. The couple had announced their engagement in August 2015 after three years of dating.

Liam Payne & Cheryl

Liam Payne of One Direction and Cheryl — formerly known as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, and also Cheryl Cole — have been quietly coupled up in 2016, and welcomed a son named Bear in March 2017. Sure!

Zoe Saldana & Marco Perego

So maybe you already knew that Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego have been husband and wife since 2013 and that they share three sons. But did you know that Britney Spears outted Saldana’s pregnancy once? Small world, or whatever!

Carey Mulligan & Marcus Mumford

Brit actress Carey Mulligan has been married to Marcus Mumford of — yep! — Mumford and Sons in 2012. As of August 2017, they are maybe expecting their second child. Neat-o!

Cameron Diaz & Benji Madden

These two had a pretty hush hush courtship before getting secretly married in 2015. On Madden, Diaz said earlier this year, “I think it’s a matter of, I just hadn’t met my husband, you know?” She continued, “I had boyfriends before. And there’s a really, really distinct difference between husbands and boyfriends. And I have a husband who is just my partner in life and in everything.”

Leighton Meester & Adam Brody

One of the small joys I have in life is knowing that the real-life counterparts of Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen, respectively, are happily married — and have been since 2015. They share a daughter, Arlo Day.

Solange Knowles & Alan Ferguson

In 2014, forever fave Solange Knowles married Alan Ferguson in a super elaborate, super beautiful ceremony. Some (me) say it was better than Queen Bey’s.

Jordan Peele & Chelsea Peretti

Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti met through Andy Samberg, got married in 2016, and had a kid in 2017. No pressure, but I’m assuming their kid is the world’s funniest baby. Right?

Robert Pattinson & FKA Twigs

FKA Twigs is bae. Robert Pattinson? Also bae. The singer and the actor have been dating since August 2014. But is there trouble in paradise? Probably not. Although Pattinson recently admitted to only being “kind of” engaged to Twigs still, odds are he is just trying to keep his private life private.

Ruth Negga & Dominic Cooper

Ruth Negga of “Loving” has been with Dominic Cooper since 2009. For those of you like me who can’t get enough of the elusive pair, never fear. They star together on AMC’s “Preacher,” and it’s quite a treat.
