Everything you need to know about Apple’s iPad Pro

The iPad Pro is, if you believe the hype, one of the most desirable gadgets on the planet. It’s the largest tablet created by Apple so far, with a screen measuring 12.9 inches in diameter. We find out about the good, the bad and the, well, average bits of the iPad Pro.

1. The screen
Its 12.9-inch makes it perfect for watching videos, movies or series. The device is also ideal for displaying photographs and work since it gives an ideal impressive level of detail. It has a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels with a density of 264 ppi (pixels per inch). But for a tablet that’s priced at $799 (for 32GB model) it should offer users more.

2. Apple Pencil
The stylus is totally unnecessary if you’re not a designer or cartoonist. On the other hand, it is very good for detailed work. Also, it’s great that it recognizes when the users slant it down or squeeze it harder to change its stroke type. The bad thing is that you have to be careful with the cap because you can lose it easily.

3. Sound

The four speakers on each of the corners provide an experience that goes beyond the functional. Although because of its design and size, it has no headphone jack, so you must use one with Bluetooth.

4. Size
Its dimensions of 12 x 8.68 x .27 inches and weight of 1.59 pounds makes it a large gadget, which is best carried in a backpack or suitcase. Lastly, the gizmo won’t make you any friends on public transport because it does require quite a lot of space.

5. Apps

With iOS 9.0 you have access to the latest applications, as well as a unique variety exclusively available to the iPad Pro. The best part is that any of your exiting apps, which have an iPad Pro compatible version, can be downloaded for free. The downside is that some apps are a bit pricey.

6. The battery

The Pro offers 10 hours of power, which should be enough to get any workaholic through the day without the need for plugging into the grid.

7. Smart keyboard

This responds brilliantly to the press of keys, making it fully functional to write long texts without sacrificing screen display if you write on it directly. The downside is that if you want to write at night, you will have to have the light on because it is not backlit.

8. Camera and video

With an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.2 megapixel front camera, it’s not capable of taking great snaps. But let’s face it, do you really want to take pictures with the iPad Pro? It’s best do this with your iPhone and then send them to the tablet.

9. Processor

iPad Pro features the iOS 9 operating system, A9X 64-bit processor, M9 processor, internal memory of 32, 64 or 128GB (depending on the model) and 4GB of RAM, which gives it the ability to function as a computer and, therefore withstand design programs. It is actually perfect for watching videos and the same goes for games. The demand is higher with design software and video editing, where the iPad Pro worked well, although it began to stop constantly making it difficult to work normally.

10. Price

The reality is that it is not cheap to buy an iPad Pro, so before doing so, you should think if you really want to exploit the best of its abilities; otherwise, there are other models of iPad’s that will meet your needs. Prices start at $ 799 (23GB with Wi-Fi), $ 949 (128GB with Wi-Fi) and $ 1,079 (128GB with Wi-Fi + Cellular). Accessories sold separately.
