What began with just a line of newborn layettes last year is expanding into a line of products and apparel this fall with Burt’s Bees Baby, a full clothing line for babies and toddlers. By spring, you can expect bedding and toys.
Their fall 2013 line, which is available online at www.burtsbeesbaby.com, offers soft and downy baby layette sets for both boys and girls and a cozy reversible jacket for autumn days ($20), among others. Be sure to check back online around Christmas for their holiday-themed line, which includes festive tights, sweaters and spiffy jackets.
The Burt’s Bees Baby line has the look and feel of Baby Gap clothing but without the sticker shock — and they are all organic. A long-sleeved two pack bodysuit will set new parents back around $13, and cute gift baskets, which combine various articles of clothing from the company as well as Burt’s Bees products, go from an almost-cheap $10 all the way to a regal $99.95.
