By the numbers
According to a new study by the American Society of Landscape Architects, lighting is high on the list of outdoor space improvements for 2014, with 94.2 percent of respondents rating upgrades as very in-demand. Also trending are eco-friendly design elements, including native plants, water-saving drip irrigation and rain-water harvesting systems.
