Donations for as little as $5 can make a big difference.
Three weeks after Super Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines killing over 5,000, only 14 percent of Americans have made an effort to help the survivors. New York Foundling is partnering with UNICEF in hopes of getting more people to donate tomorrow, on #GivingTuesday. It's easy to get caught up in the stress of the holiday season, but #GivingTuesday serves as a reminder that there are millions around the world who won't have a Christmas this year.
Go to nyfoundling.org tomorrow to donate and find out exactly how your donations will be used. Just $5 will give a child clean drinking water for 200 days. A donation of $68 gives a child suffering from malnutrition 150 sachets of high-calorie food. You can give individually or as a group, such as with your workplace. No matter how big or small, your donation will make a difference.
