Indoor fitness for when it’s too hot outside

A New Hampshire mother is facing charges of endangering a child after her toddler was found locked in a van in a Hannaford's parking lot in Goffstown. It’s hot out there! Stay indoors to work out.

Another summer scorcher out there? It doesn’t have to throw your fitness routine for a loop. Try one of these seven activities next time it’s too hot to exercise outdoors.

Walk at an indoor mall. Ask a workout buddy to join you. Socializing while exercising makes it more fun!
Try an exercise video that you can view at home. Many libraries even offer rentals for free when you check them out with your library card.
Dance to music in your living room.
Walk up and down your stairs to music. The music will help energize you and make it more fun.
Swim at a fitness or recreation center. Swimming can be an effective, low-impact exercise, and is a great alternative when it’s hot outside.
