Nicole Kidman is opening up about her marriage to Tom Cruise and the state in which her split from her first husband left her. “I was really damaged and not sure whether [love and marriage] was ever going to happen again to me,” she tells Marie Clare magazine. And she admits that being Cruise’s wife turned out to be more than she’d bargained for: “I was never seeking to be a celebrity,” she says. “But I was prepared to do that for love.”
So, she wasn’t seeking to be a star even though she was marrying one of the biggest ones in the world? Poor thing had to withstand fame, fortune and a huge boost to her acting career in order to be his wife. Must have been awful for her.
