Norwegian firefighter Gunn Narten may look like a model, but she  prefers pulling people from burning buildings to walking on the runway.

The 30-year-old has gained popularity on I nstagram —  with more than 80,000 people following her — and has been called the sexiest female firefighter in the world.

“When I was a child, I dreamed of becoming a policeman or a fireman like my dad,” she told Metro. “And when I turned 19, I realized that I really wanted to work in the fire brigade.”

Her parents did not initially support her choice, but eventually got used to the idea that she is risking her life every day.

“They were a little bit scared, because my job is risky,” she said. “But they knew that it was something I really wanted to do, so they supported me.”

Gunn admitted that she sometimes faces danger, but she is not afraid of fire and is doing everything possible to save people.

“Yes, I’ve entered burning houses and I was afraid. But mostly I feel safe because I train a lot,” the 30-year-old added. “I always put safety first. Once, however, I fell from a roof, but fortunately managed to avoid serious injuries. Several times I have saved people from fire, and it was the greatest emotional experience of my life!”

Narten believes that she has the best job in the world and has never regretted her career choice.

“However, there are some stereotypes about this profession,” she said. “I hate when people say that women cannot be firefighters. We can! And we are doing our job pretty well!”
