May is Mental Health Month and the goal is to educate the public, raise awareness about these illnesses, help end the stigma that surrounds them and support those who live with these conditions. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1 in 4 Americans will experience a mental health disorder in any given year, but few people talk openly about their diagnosis.
