Natalie Portman isn’t hungry, thank you

Although she’s owning the Oscar buzz thanks to her portrayal of a hungry ballerina in “Black Swan,” the always petite Natalie Portman wants to make sure everyone knows she enjoys a good meal.

Although she’s owning the Oscar buzz thanks to her portrayal of a hungry ballerina in “Black Swan,” the always petite Natalie Portman wants to make sure everyone knows she enjoys a good meal.

“I swear, I eat. I ate a bagel an hour ago,” she tells the January issue of Vogue. “I consume my own weight in hummus every day. I cook a lot, and I even do vegan baking.”

We believe her — and think it’s kind of sad that such a talented, dignified actress has to talk about her breakfast — but come on: chickpeas and eggless-brownies? Way to indulge, Natalie. You better top that bagel with marshmallow fluff and Nutella before name-checking it.

Emma livens it up

As we brace ourselves for the fluffy, cautious language of awards season, we especially love Emma Stone’s reaction to her Golden Globe nomination for “Easy A”: “I lost my s—, of course,” she tells UsMagazine.com of finding out. As for her competition? “They’re all terrible,” she joked.
