New My Little Pony toys have a pop-culture slant

Even with all the high-tech toys and apps available to kids today, some toys are classics. Kids have loved My Little Pony since 1981. Pretty ponies with rainbow hair to comb are still in toy stores, but today the brand is showcasing new friendship ponies, in honor of the International Day of Friendship. Unfortunately these new toys aren’t for sale, but it’s still fun seeing famous friendships in pop-culture history honored in this playful way.

Hasbro drew inspiration from fictional friendships such as like Bert and Ernie, Lucy and Ethel and Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, to create the new sets. Parents can learn more about the toys at mylittlepony.hasbro.com/friendshipdayand kids can log on to the site to play fun friendship games.
