“Girl you work it” lyrics from The Weekend’s new single for “50 Shades of Grey” seduced audience memers as models hit the runway. Working it is exactly what the women who wear DVF’s unabashedly sexy collection — hey, even the stage featured sultry red mood lighting! — will do. While the daywear just hinted at sexuality (the classic decolletage-exposing wrap dress in innocent white, a fitted pinstripe suit and coquettish florals) it’s evening when the femme fatale really came out to play. Slinky slipdresses, red and black lace cocktail numbers and some oh la la leave-little-to-the-imagination gowns. Why wasn’t this show scheduled for Valentine’s Day, again?
