We were psyched to learn that Nick Lachey proposed to Vanessa Minnillo last week.
After all, not only did he play babysitter to Jessica Simpson during her “chicken or fish” days, but MTV followed him around documenting every emasculating moment of their short marriage while refusing to just let everyone forget that 98 Degrees even happened. It’s not necessarily a comeback, but sure — a major life win, considering.
It seems, however, that Nick made out pretty sweet with the divorce settlements: His new lady’s ring, according to UsMagazine.com, cost around $125,000.
Not J.Lo engagement ring territory, but definitely not in the budget of a guy whose biggest hit, 10 years ago, was “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche).”
