Ralph Lauren launches wearable tech

Opening day of the US Open doesn’t just kick of another round of fierce tennis competition. It’s also the day Ralph Lauren, the official outfitter of the tournament, launches Polo Tech, an new innovativeline created with OMsignal technology to make works outs and trainings way more efficient.

The shirt,designed with sensors knitted into the anti-microbial, moisture-wicking fabric, reads biological and physiological information such as energy level, heart rate, breathing rate and calories burned. The information is then delivered to the user via an app on their smartphone along with suggested improvements in fitness and lifestyle.
