Hedi Slimane jumped back into the late Sixties-early Seventies, an era that was tremendously creative and successful for Yves Saint Laurent himself. And the genius of Slimane is to make a 2015 girl just as much in love with Saint Laurent’s clothes as their mothers were back in the house’s heyday. This collection did have a strong feeling of Swinging Sixties London, with mini skirts teamed with box jackets, high-waisted denim or leather shorts and sometimes floral and boho printed dresses worn with platform shoes. The latter are no doubt a summer best-seller in the making.
