Taking a bite — and sip — out of Shark Week

It’s Shark Week! In honor of the Discovery Channel’s annual fete of all things shark, two New York restaurants are sporting some Jaw(s)-dropping deals.

MexiQ Kitchen & Draught’s (37-11 30th Ave., Queens) Shark Week specials include a “Great ‘Witte’ Beer Flight” and special shark tacos made with grilled shark, avocado and guajillo orange salsa, both for $9.

“We didn’t see many restaurants doing it, and since all of us here are fans of Shark Week, it was certainly a fun thing to do,” says MexiQ’s executive chef Jonathan VanSleet.

Meanwhile, over at the Village Pourhouse (366 West 46th St.), catch all the action of Shark Week on the TVs and enjoy a Pourhouse burger and fries for just $5.95 (add a Bud Light for $1) with shark bite shots for $5.

“At the end of the week, we will be throwing our first Shark Week beach party,” says Emily Welby, the Village Pourhouse’s social media coordinator, about Friday night’s party — which will feature $3 Bud Lights, $4 shooters and free shark bite shots to those dressed in their beach best from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

“We are just really excited about Shark Week!”
