Joseph Altuzarra is joining the long list of luxury designers partnering up with Target to bring high fashion to the masses. Target announced the collaboration this morning saying that the collection will be available in stores and online at Target.com starting September 14. Some of the pieces will also be available on net-a-porter.com.
Designer Joseph Altuzarra expressed his excitement for the collaboration by saying, “As a designer, I believe firmly in the transformative power of fashion. It has the ability to not only change how you look, but also how you feel. ... I’ve admired the elegance that Target brings to fast fashion. By working together on this capsule collection, we hope to instill a sense of power, confidence and beauty in women everywhere.”
The line will consist of 50 pieces - including accessories and lingerie - ranging in price from $17.99 to $89.99. Expect lots of work-ready pieces that are a mix of sophistication and femininity, which Altuzarra tells us is a staple of his designs. Though he's French, he loves designing for American women. “French women can learn from Americans’ ease and pragmatism,” he says. “And American women wear a lot more prints. I love that,” he says.
