Indulging in happy hour usually brings a morning of regrets; most of the time you aren’t doing your body any good. But not all cocktails are created equal. If you skip the sugary artificial flavors and use good ol’ fruits and veggies to anchor your spirits, you’re actually giving your body a boost.

“Zen and Tonic” (released Monday) is full of these kinds of recipes. Mexican Chocolate Buzz? Yes. Matcha Jasmine Pear Pops? Duh. The Drunken Avocado? Sounds interesting, but worth a swig. The boozy recipes are packed with superfoods and nutrients.

Ingredients:

4 beets
2 apples
1 cup frozen raspberries
4 ounces gin

Directions:In a juicer, process the beets and apples and transfer to a blender. Add the frozen raspberries and blend. Transfer the mixture to a shaker filled with ice, add gin and shake well.
