Toast your great Cyber Monday scores with a seasonal cocktail

Did you end Thanksgiving dinner not with pie but by claiming your place in line for a door-buster deal? Did you stay up way past your work bedtime this morning to score Cyber Monday deals one second after midnight?

Then you’re probably farther along in your holiday shopping than Santa Claus, and that deserves a treat. The ruthless bargain-hunting may not be the part of the season that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy, but these warming cocktails will.


Babbo’s Toddy

Ingredients:
½ oz. Campari
½ oz. Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon
1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
¾ oz. cinnamon simple syrup

Directions for cinnamon simple syrup: Bring 4 cinnamon sticks, 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool.

Directions for cocktail: Build ingredients into warm mug and top with boiling water. Garnish with an orange slice.

Ingredients:
3 cups Brugal Extra Dry
2 cups fresh blood orange juice
1 cup fresh lime juice
1.5 cups simple syrup
20 dash cranberry bitters

Directions:Stir all ingredients together in a large punch bowl with a few cubes of ice to chill. Garnish with blood orange slices and fresh cranberries. To serve, ladle into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with a blood orange slice and a cranberry.

Ingredients:
2 oz. Brugal 1888
1 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix)
2.5 cups apple cider
1.5 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
Cinnamon stick

Directions:In a large pot, mix together the pumpkin puree, apple cider, pumpkin pie spice and the cinnamon stick. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 20 minutes. (This will yield a thicker cider since it’s made with pumpkin puree. For a thinner beverage, add more apple cider or water while serving.) Strain the mixture through a mesh strainer to remove clumps and cinnamon stick. Pour into glass with rum, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve warm.
