If you ever thought your wet dog was being malicious when he shook off all his water onto you, it’s partially true.

A new study shows that animals maximize the frequency of their shakes to get rid of the most water.

YouTube user EarthUnpluggedTV takes a closer look a different animals shaking in slow motion, including a hedgehog (which averages 22 shakes per second) and a human (who averages only 4.2 shakes per second).
