$3M study finds MTA inefficient, wasteful

NEW YORK. The MTA is run worse than you think. A damning report from Accenture consulting firm found the agency is bloated with four tiers of unnecessary management and employees are too often promoted based on “friendship and familiarity,” instead of skill.
Employee evaluation is either weak or nonexistent, finds the study, and the MTA pays too much in overtime. The MTA spent $3 million to have the efficiency study done.
