An actor was seriously hurt during a performance of the Broadway show “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” at the Foxwoods Theatre on 42nd Street on Thursday night.
The performance was halted after a piece of equipment pinned the actor’s leg backstage, NBC 4 New York reports.
The actor, whose name has not been released, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Five people were injured during the earlier performances of the stunt-filled $75 million show, which first opened in June 2011.
Audience members for Thursday’s performance will be eligible for refunds or exchanges, a spokesman for the show said.
