AIDS group launches new YouTube channel

BRONX – Exercising safe sex. Dealing with the AIDS-related death of a parent. Kindergartners learning to avoid AIDS.

These are the topics in a new YouTube channel launched yesterday, where children whose parents are sick or who have died from AIDS can mentor others with similar backgrounds. On the site, kids with sick parents can comfort each other.

The South Bronx’s Health People launched the channel, AIDSmyfamilyandme, to coincide with today’s World AIDS Day.

Through the group, youngsters learn to mentor younger kids, teaching everything from exercise — for children as young as six — to warning older teens about risky sexual activity. metro/ab
