Another motorcyclist was charged this weekend in connection with the biker gang assault on the West Side highway three weeks ago, authorities said.
Kaliq Douglas, 27, pleaded not guilty to charges of gang assault and assault Saturday, officials said. He is the eighth person to be charged in the case.
According to the criminal complaint, Douglas was one of the bikers captured on video assaulting 33-year-old Alexian Lien Sept. 29.
Authorities said the attack was triggered after Lien's SUV, with his wife and young daughter inside, was surrounded by a group of bikers on the highway. Feeling threatened, Lien sped away and ran over a 32-year-old biker named Edwin Mieses.
The complaint alleges Douglas and other bikers caught up with Lien's SUV and pulled him from the car, throwing him to the pavement.
Douglas, seen in the video wearing a black long sleeved shirt, black denim vest with metallic studs, black jeans and a silver helmet with a camera, kicked Lien at least once, according to the criminal complaint.
Among those also charged in the case are NYPD Detective Wojciech Braszczok, a 10-year veteran of the force.
