Two teens arrested for firearms violations in connection with the shooting death of 17-year-old Overbrook High School student Bernard Scott are now facing murder charges, investigators announced on Monday.
Scott was shot several times inside the Tustin Playground on the afternoon of April 11 and died at Lankenau Hospital.
Two other men, aged 17 and 18, were also shot during the same incident but survived their injuries.
Jaquan Jordan, 20, and Stanley Postell, 18, were arrested for weapons violations April 11 and April 13, respectively.
Charges were on Monday upgraded to murder. Both men are currently jailed while awaiting trial.
