New York State Police found a body in the Hudson River this morning that authorities believe may be that of Sang Ho Kim, the man wanted for last week's Long Island office shooting.
The body was found floating near Iona Island and the Bear Mountain Bridge in Bear Mountain State Park in Orange County, N.Y., about 9:30 a.m. Monday, New York State Police reported in a press release.
The site is about 11 miles south of Cold Spring, N.Y., where Kim's car was found Wednesday night, and police said the body appears to be that of an Asian male.
A Nassau County Police Department spokesperson confirmed that Nassau County is investigating the possibility that the deceased is Kim.
New York State Police said the body appears to have been in the water for several days. The medical examiner and the local Forensic Investigation Unit of the state police are working to positively identify the remains.
