Police found the body of a 9-year-old boy atop scaffolding at his high-rise apartment building in the Bronx Wednesday.
Authorities said that they responded to an emergency call of an unconscious male at the 46-story building at 20 Richman Plaza in the Morris Heights neighborhood, near the Harlem River.
At around 5 p.m., cops on the scene found the boy, since identified as Sidy Fofana.
Emergency workers pronounced the boy dead at the scene.
Police said it was still unclear whether Fofana, whose family lived on the 26th floor, jumped, fell or had been pushed, or even how far he might have dropped.
The boy's body was sent to the the Medical Examiner's Office to determine how Fofana died while police continue to investigate the circumstances around his death.
