A US Airways flight heading from Boston to Charlotte had a scare on Wednesday evening when a passenger said he had a "bomb in his carry-on bag."
190 passengers and 6 crew members were aboard US Airways flight 114 on Wednesday when the pilot called in the emergency, WCVB reports.
In what reps for the airline call "a security issue on board," a man was led off the plane in handcuffs after landing in Charlotte around 5:30 pm. Local police and fire departments met the plane as it landed, as did the bomb squad.
The FBI took the suspect into federal custody and questioned him until around 10 pm, but told WCVB there was no indication of any real danger.
WCVB reports that most passengers on the flight were not aware of the threat at the time.
