The city’s first Boston Bike Party went off without a hitch Tuesday night, drawing nearly 400 cyclists to the drizzly streets of Boston.

Organizer Elodie Garcia, 25, said the throngs of music-led cyclists were well behaved, and rode responsibly.

“There were no issues that I heard of,” said Garcia. “It went really well. We had a gigantic group. Mainly everyone was happy and liked the energy. We had a lot of happy people.”

Pleased partygoers seemed to approve, with many praising the event on social media.

“The Bike Party we had all throughout the streets of Boston I can already tell will be one of the highlights of my summer,” @Samloso tweeted this morning.

@TaraHymes tweeted, “Slept like a baby. Still riding the high from the #bostonbikeparty.”

The only hiccup came at the start of the ride, in Dewey Square, where Boston Police insisted the group set off earlier than expected, around 7:45 p.m. The route was also changed a bit from the original plan, Garcia said, due to road activity.

Cyclers coasted to The Pour House for a celebratory drink after the ride.

Anyone who didn’t make it out last night will have another chance next month — and the month after that, and the month after that.

“This is going to be a monthly ride, so we’re going to work with the police to make sure we have all the proper permits to be able to ride around town. It should happen every second Tuesday of the month,” Garcia said.

The next ride is set for June 11.
