Plans could change depending on Thursday forecasts, Alben said. The concert will happen Thursday no matter what, due to contractual obligations, though there is a possibly that the fireworks could be pushed to Saturday if rain descends on the city Thursday evening.

"In our latest briefing from the National Weather Service we think of the next two days [Thursday] provides us the best opportunity to get the music, the show, and the fireworks off," said Alben. "We know there are predictions for rain tomorrow and we're going to ride through that as best as we can."

"We just think [Thursday] is our best option right now," he said.
