The constant plow runs and harsh winter – along with some warmer days – have not been kind to Boston’s roadways.

Potholes have popped up throughout the city as they tend to do this time of year. They are a nuisance to drivers and pain to cars.

But the city recently launched its “pothole patrol” in an effort to combat the pesky problem.

Public Works crews were out in the South End today filling the holes.

With more snow expected this weekend and weeks of winter left to go, the “pothole patrol” will likely have to keep watch.
