Boston police seek video, witnesses to downtown stabbing

Boston police said a man was stabbed multiple times around closing time last weekend and they need video and witnesses in their help to find the attacker.

A man was found stabbed multiple times near Faneuil Hall at around closing time last weekend and police are asking for the public's help as detectives search for the attacker.

Boston police have asked for witnesses to come forward or anyone with cell phone video who may have captured the attack to contact them.

Police said that officers were called to Commercial and Chatham streets at about 2 a.m. Sunday for a report of a person stabbed. When officers arrived they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

"Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in locating witnesses as well as obtaining any smart phone footage that may have been taken of the incident," Boston police said.
