A man who was shot by Boston Police on Tuesday is due in court today.
Paul Eric Louis-Jeune, 22, of Braintree faces charges of armed assault to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm and unlawfully discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, according to Suffolk District Attorney spokesman Jake Wark.
Police shot Louis-Jeune in the chest around 1 p.m. on Old Colony Avenue in South Boston after he allegedly pulled a gun and opened fire on two officers who were investigating drug activity. He was sent to Tufts Medical Center with what police described at the time as life-threatening injuries. The officers were also sent to the hospital for evaluation.
