A person was shot outside of the new Boston Middle School located at 270 Columbia Road, according to a spokesman from the Boston Police Department.
Officer Eddie Chrispin said homicide units were alerted and sent to the scene, however no one was reported dead at this time.
According to AlertNewEngland, the victim was shot in the shoulder.
Police could not confirm the report at this time, however.
BPD located several rounds either lodged in, or through the windows of, the nearby school according to the news blog.
Children were in the school at the time, but none were reportedly injured.
Columbia Road was shut down in both directions to investigate the incident, according to Chrispin.
