Two men were killed in separate shootings on Friday and Saturday in the Bronx’s University Heights and in Elmhurst, Queens, police said.
On Friday night at around 9:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting and found a 51-year-old man who had been shot in the head. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Saint Barnabas Hospital.
NYPD received another report of a shooting on Saturday evening around 6 p.m. They found a man, 33, with a gunshot wound to the head and neck. Again, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Elmhurst General Hospital.
The identification of both victims is pending notification of their families. No arrests have been made and investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
