Bronx robbery suspect posed as flower delivery woman: cops

Police are searching for three suspects who allegedly robbed a Bronx woman inside her apartment after one of the robbers pretended to be delivering flowers.

The victim answered a knock at her door inside her East 169th Street home at about 11:15 a.m. on March 17, police said. A female suspect told the woman that she had a “flower delivery.” Two male suspects then forced their way into the apartment, punching the victim and knocking her to the ground, police said.

The female suspect then displayed a silver gun and demanded that the victim cooperate. The victim fought with the female suspect and one male suspect as they attempted to tie her up with duct tape. The second male victim removed cash from the victim’s closet. All three suspects then fled the apartment and headed east on East 169th Street, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
