A 42-year-old Brooklyn man with a long rap sheet was gunned down outside the public housing project where he lived early Monday morning, police said.

Armal Mallory was found with gunshot wounds to the torso and head at around 12:15 a.m. in front of his home at 79 North Oxford Walk, part of the Whitman Houses in Fort Greene. Police said he was declared dead at the scene.

Later Monday morning, cops were looking for a black man in his 20s who is wanted in connection with the shooting. The man was last seen wearing a white top, white pants and a brown hat, police said.

The investigation into the shooting, including determining a motive for Mallory’s murder, was still ongoing.

Police said that Mallory had an extensive criminal history, with at least eight charges dating back to 1989 through last year. The charges ranged from criminal possession of a weapon to robbery and assault.
