Eat it, Pittsburgh.
Frankford Hall - the Fishtown-based beer garden with the exposed-brick courtyard - was named in a recent Buzzfeed poll as the best bar in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The website crowned the most popular bar in each U.S. state based on 2013 data collected from the social media location-sharing platform Foursquare. The service allows users to "check-in" to any location, which helps coordinate activities and gatherings with friends, and rate their experience.
Buzzfeed drew its list from "check-in" counts and user reviews.
Stephen Starr's joint, which sits near the intersection of Frankford and East Girard Avenues, received a score of 9.3 out of 10.
Why is Frankford Hall so awesome?, Buzzfeed asked.
"At Frankford Hall, you get all the draws of a regular beer garden — Belgian brews, huge steins, long tables — plus ping-pong tables and Jenga. And in the winter, you can make s’mores (!) by the fire pit," according to the website.
