A livery cab driver died on Thursday after he was stabbed in the eye, police said.

The driver crashed his 2000 Mercury near the intersection of Lott Avenue and Thomas Boyland Street in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn at approximately 5:30 p.m., police said. When cops arrived at the crash scene, they observed the driver with a stab wound to the eye.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are searching for a man and a woman in their mid-20s who were in the cab driver’s car, The New York Post reports.

A surveillance video from a nearby bodega obtained by the Post shows the pair walking out of the vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
