A Magnolia, Camden County, man shot and killed his wife Wednesday night, setting off a SWAT standoff that ended when he reportedly shot and killed himself.
The apparent murder-suicide happened on the 300 block of East Washington Street, NBC10 reports.
Police were directed to the home of Henry and Vicki Yip about 7 p.m. by a relative concerned for the Yips' welfare following an alarming call from Henry Yip.
A responding officer saw someone inside the home before hearing a gunshot. Someone in the home then made a 911 call claiming he had killed his wife and was going to kill himself.
A SWAT team, utilizing a robot with a camera on it, entered the home after about 40 minutes of attempting to convince Henry Yip, 66, to surrender. They found him and his wife, Vicki Yip, 54, dead of gunshot wounds.
