Camden daycare finds loaded gun in toddler's diaper bag

A 25-year-old Camden man was arrested Tuesday morning after an employee of his 11-month-old daughter's daycare center found a loaded gun inside her diaper bag.

A 25-year-old Camden man was arrested Tuesday morning after an employee of his 11-month-old daughter's daycare center found a loaded gun inside her diaper bag.

According to NBC10, the gun, which is believed to have been stolen from Philadelphia, was found around 8 a.m. at the El Centro Child Care Center on the 400 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police arrested and charged Rakeem Williams, a father of two from Lindenwold, New Jersey, with unlawful possession of a weapon, receiving stolen property, among others.

The gun was apparently loaded with hollow-point bullets, according to the news outlet.

Williams is being held at the county jail. His bail was set at $50,000.

Authorities also contacted the New Jersey Department of Child Protection & Permanency.
